Blog review

Well, my experience working with blog it has been very good because I really like to write, in english or Spanish. In general, what I liked the most about writing in a blog is to tell different experiences of my life and that my colleagues can know a little more about me because I do not think anyone else reads this haha. That I did not like is to write online, I prefer to write in paper or in a life diary, I believe that in this platform the writing loses the magic, like when one was a girl and wrote the things that one liked with a pencil and a paper in a more intimate way, since in this way everything is more public and you can not tell everything.

The post that enjoyed more is a "Special place" because I love to write about places around the worldand better if it´s about something I like.

The post that least enjoyed was "A special family celebration I remember" because in my family we never did big celebrations because we are a very small family, so it was difficult to write about that.

The hardest thing to write each week, apart from writing in English, was that they imposed on you what to write about, because it is difficult to write about something that you did not intend to write.

But overall, it has been a good experience. This has been my first blog in life and I think it has had a good result and it´s always good for improve my English!

A phone app

Hi bloggers! Today I going to talk about a phone app I use a lot. 

In general, I use three apps: Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram because the memory card of my cellphone is limited. But Instagram I enjoy it more!...Use this app five years ago, when I have 19 years old and I use it for many things.

In the first place I use it for take pictures of my daily life: streets, building, selfies, pictures with my friends, etc...Is very funny because you can follow your friends and famous people (I follow soccer players like a Arturo Vidal or Messi and singer that I like). Also you can follow traveling accounts and see photos and videos of all the world!!. I use this app very often, I like to be connected with my friends and the virtual world and also see memes... they are very funny!. I like  it because It´s easy to use and keeps you connected with what happen in the world.

A special place

Today I going to talk about a special place to me. I can not choose just one, so I choose two!

I met this places two years ago, when I went on a trip for eight month for the Chilean altiplano, Perú, Ecuador and Colombia.

The first place is called Puyka, located in the peruvian altiplano to 3.658 msl. This place have the best and beautiful ruins that I have seen, because is not a touristy place so is very quiet and calm and the ruins they are not full of tourist like MachuPichu. The people of this place is very kind and only speak “Quechua” so the communication it was very difficult, but not impossible.

The second place is called “Cabo de la vela” in the Colombian Guajira, in the border with Venezuela. This is a very poor place, there is no wáter and can only be accessed on a 4x4 truck (I arrived doing “autostop”). The magic of this place is that the Colombian caribbean blends with the Guajira desert, so is a beach with desert where lives indigenous people called Wayúu or Guajiros. This is a spectacular and peaceful place, there are no big hotels.

Well, these are my two special places in the world...for now.

A PIece of Technology

Well, my favorite piece of technology is the cellphone. The cellphone is used to call, send text message and use internet in any place and in any moment (if you have movil internet). I got it when i was 11 years old but the cellphone worked only just to call and play games. I use the cellphone to call my friends and family, communicate by whatssap, use facebook, instagram, snapchat, listen to music and tinder (it´s one application to meet people and have dates)  and take a pictures because its camera is very good and professional. I use the cellphone every day and in any moment. I like it because this piece is very comfortable to use and it is useful for the daily life, it is funny and they have something very important: Music. My life without a cellphone would be the same but more complicated and boring, but also it would be more  simple.In the negative things, the cellphone is addictive and people do not look in the face when they talk and they can not do anything without their cellphone...but if it is used well it is a very important piece of technology.

In conclusion, we must use the technology in our favor.

A hobby

Today I´m going to talk about my biggest hobby: Futsal.

I´ts a collective sport, similar to "baby football" but with other rules and there are five players on the field, where I play has a goalkeeper. I have played soccer all my life, but this year I started playing this new sport in the Futsal team of the University of Chile, in a neighborhood team called "Ñuñoa fem", and in a professional team called "Huellas". It is a exciting sport, it has rules similar to basketball, there are many goals per match and you never know what can happen in the game. I really like this sport, I train 4 times a week and play Saturday and Monday in the National Federation of Futsal, in Victor Jara stadium. With my University team we won the third place in de University league (LDES), but this semester we go for the first place because we train a lot.

I could say that futsal is my passion, I enjoy very much this sport!!!

My best friend (free post)

Well, it is very difficult for me to choose a best friend because I have many good friends in my life. But I have to choose one....My best friend´s name is Addi Coronel Shabtay, she lives at ten minutes away from my house in La Reina and she studied English Literature in the University of Chile but now she studies sustainable contruction in the Center of technical formation of the environment (IDMA), and she is 24 years old. I met her in the selection of soccer to the Juan Gomez Millas in my first year in the University (2012) in a training session. We have been friends for five years and I am consider her my best friend because we have many interest in common: music, soccer team, party and she gives the best advice for my problems and she understands me most of the time and she is very funny. My best memory I have with her is the first party we had together in the campus because in that moment our friendship started, we danced and speak all night.

A holiday I remember when I was child

I would like to talk about a holiday I remember when I was a child, but I don´t remember one in specific because we always went to the same place: “Valle del Elqui”. I was between 4 and 8 years old, and my family in this moment consisted of my father, mom and sister. I have wonderful memories because we were going to visit my godmother who lived there in a “hippie house” because she was artisan so his house are very colourful and full of joy. Also we went to the river all day (in this river I learned to swim) and eat “cubos”, which are frozen juice. In this house and town the lived many hippies, so everything was very calm and relaxed, the time passed slowly, also in this place the stars look amazing so with my sister we would go outside to see them and we always saw shooting stars and ovnis ahaha. Also we ate many grapes and goat cheese (typical food of the zone) and I guess my parents used to drink a lot of “Pisco” (typical drink of the zone) or wine ahaha.

Well, this is my experience in the “Valle del Elqui”, a magic zone, full of good energy!

A special family celebration I remember

Well, today I will write about a special family celebration I remember. In my case, talk about this topic is difficult because my family is very small, my close family is my mother, sister and my dog. I dont visit much of my uncles and cousins so the big family celebration they are not very common, but I remember one in particular.

It was in the 2015, on my grandmother´s 80th birthday. I saw my cousins and to all my maternal family, ¡I really enjoyed it!  We drank beer and wine with my cousins and mother, we get drunk together haha, we also talk all night and we laughed a lot. But the special moment of the night it was in the end, when with my cousins and sister we convinced my grandmother to smoke weed for the first time in his life. It was a very special moment because we were in confidence and we enjoyed them very much (apparently my cousins and I we were more crazy than my grandmother haha)

Unfortunately, I do not have photos of that day, but they say that the best moments are sotred in our heads, not in a camera :)

A walk I would like to do again

Hi people!

Rio Negro in Coroico, Bolivia

In general, i like so much go for a walk and connect with nature. I love the beach, countryside and the forest, but my favourite walk it was in Bolivia, particulary in Coroico, the Yungas. This is a beautifful place in the Andean Jungle and there are many places to walk and explore, because it is a mountain place.

In my experience, the walk to “Rio negro” in Dicember of this year, it was de best experience in this ambit, because the place is unique and I did this walk and trip alone. It was a two hours walk in the andean jungle and I saw a lot of animals, but the most beautiful it was the “Papagayo” (it a very colorfur bird), I had never seen an animal like that!. I enjoyed very much this walk because the place is amazing and magic, the way is peaceful and the people is very kind. After walking two hours alone in the mountain , I get to “Rio negro” or black river, a beautiful place with many waterfalls  surrounded by jungle and in the place there was nobody, only me, the Bolivian mountains and nature.

I like to do it again because this place is amazing (but not the mosquitoes haha) and particularly quiet. The andean jungle is magic, is my favourite place in the world for the moment and this walk it was a unique experience.

MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT THIS SEMESTER

To get started I only have 3 subjects this semester so the decision will be easy. 

My favourite subject is called "Memory and political violence" with the professor Isabel Piper, she is a social psychology. In general, the classes are not very didactics but there are many instances to discuss and reflect, sometimes we see videos and we analyze interesting texts.

With respect to the contents of this subject, these are from the area of social psychology and they teach us about memory and political violence from the perspective of critical social psychology. In this subject my group and me we are working in a project related with gender violence in the military dictatorship of 1973, specifically with the stories and memories of tortured women´s of that time.

I like this subject because the area of social psychology interest me so much and even more if it is related with politic and history. On the other hand, I really like to learn about in how the psychology can contribute in this historical processes.

A person or expert in your field that I admire

I would like to talk about Martín Baró, he was born in November 7 of 1942 in Valladolid, Spain and he died in November 16th of 1989 in San Salvador, where he was murdered by the Salvadoran army. He was a scholar, social psychologist, philosopher and Jesuit priest.
He said that psychology should be developed to address the historical context, the social conditions and aspirations of the people. For Martín Baró, the solution to the mental health problems in societies characterized by oppression, is the transformation of society to transcend the historical reality of oppression. Psychologists cannot ignore the influence that difficult contexts have on the mental health. If they do, then they become in accomplices to the social injustices that may have caused these mental health problems. His work inspired the development of liberation psychology in Latin America and community psychology throughout the world
I like Martín Baró because he did a big contribution to social psychology by understanding the subject in his historical context.

My favourite picture

Shimi, the charming dog

Well, this is a picture of my dog called Sofia, but in my house we tell "Shimi". She is a "salchicha" dog, but the real name of his race is dachshund. She is 9 years old and she is very happy and playful but she is angry with people she does not know, especially with children :(

This photo is very funny and I really like. I took this picture one morning 3 years ago (time goes fast) in my mom´s room and my mother is behind Shimi. She was putting on makeup to go to work. 

I like this photo because is a lucky shot, it seems like my dog is flirting with me and I find it very funny, she stands on two legs... looks like a human hahah!, but a human with big ears and very hairy. In conclusion, in this picture Shimi is fabulous and sexy.

My future job

Well, this topic is difficult to me because I do not very well what do I want for my life in the future. I do not know if I want to be a psychologist but I feel that the University give me tools for my day to day, so that´s why I´m still studying. 

My future or ideal job for me, must be one that have a flexible schedule, to have a lot free time for me and my hobbies, also  I would desire travel a lot in my job because I get bored fast and I do not like the monotony. I would like to work in another country (specifically in Latin America) or at least out of Santiago, the north of Chile I really like so much. I believe that I would like to have a Hostel in a nice place with a lot of nature, a paradise beach would be the ideal hahaha. I would like to receive people from all over the world and share experiences and culture with them. About the salary, is not important to me, I´m content with little and I would not want to have children so my salary is only for me and probably for my future dogs and animals from my Hostel.

Well, this is my future or ideal job.
